Customer’s Experience Using The PetSafe Happy Ride

I love this dog seat. I bought it for my dog after realizing that she loved to sit on laps during car rides, which isn’t safe. Even in small wrecks and accidents, the inertia can throw a human, so it can definitely throw a much smaller dog. I often make long car trips that last approximately 10 hours, so I wanted a product that would ease my mind. I use this in combination with car safety harness and drive much more relaxed knowing that both myself and my dog are securely strapped in. In terms of comfort, my dog fall in love with the car seat; she is calmer in the seat and has fallen asleep multiple times. Additionally, she doesn’t have to put forth as much effort to stay balanced while strapped into the seat. To me, it’s important that this car seat isn’t a tiring challenge for her. The seat is tall, so when she sits up in the seat, she definitely has a great view. I try to keep the carseat in the back of my car because if there’s an accident, the airbag could do more harm than good for my dog. But it does fit snugly in front of my car if need be. And I think that snug fit also helps my dog feel more secure when he’s riding shotgun. I recommend this seat!
