Ukrainian “Hachiko” found new family after her owner was killed

Last Modified: April 18, 2022 by Julia Powell Leave a Comment

The story of a faithful dog Rini from Makarov in Kyiv region, who spent a month on the doorstep waiting for her owner, who was killed by the Russian occupants, got a happy ending.

The new owner of “Makarov Hachiko” found out about the dog from the posts on social media. – The adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko reported about it.

It is noted that now Rini has loving owners who will treat and raise the dog. The new owner learned about the dog from social media posts and went in search of it.

Nadezhda met Rini on the doorstep of the same house, where the dog had been waiting for almost a month for his mistress Tatiana, who was killed by the Russian military. The woman sat down next to Rini and cried. The dog came up and licked tears.

Mr Gerashchenko says that the new owners are people with experience who understand how to keep this breed of dog.

“That’s how true love began. Now Rini is not alone! She has caring new owners and even one new friend of the same breed Akita Inu – Chip”.
