Detailed Overview

YT-100

SportDOG Brand YardTrainer 100 is a high-quality product designed for obedience training your dog in any situation where they are within 100 yards of you, such as around the house, yard, or park. It’s packed with features and built with DryTek technology to be waterproof and submersible up to 25 feet underwater. This remote-controlled dog training collar is rechargeable and offers three stimulation types: tone, vibration, and eight levels of static stimulation. Each type of stimulation has its own button, so you can easily deliver the right kind of stimulus for the situation and your dog’s temperament.

YT-100S (for Stubborn Dogs)

SportDOG YardTrainer 100S (YT-100S) has the same features as YardTrainer 100, but was designed for more stubborn and easily distracted dogs. With static stimulations in a higher range than the YT-100, this system is ideal for training your dog around the house, yard or park – any situation where they are within 100 yards of you.

YT-300

Pay Attention:

Top Benefits of YardTrainer

  • Waterproof

The YardTrainer’s collar receiver is not only waterproof, but submersible up to 25 feet, making it a great choice for dogs who love the water. Whether your dog likes to swim, play in the rain, or just needs a little extra durability, the DryTek™ technology will keep them safe and dry.

  • Tone, vibration and up to 8 levels of static stimulation corrections

The YardTrainer offers three different types of stimulation: tone, vibration, and eight levels of static stimulation. This allows you to find the type of stimulus that works best for your dog’s temperament and the situation. For example, if your dog is easily distracted, you may want to use the higher levels of static stimulation to get their attention. Or if you are just trying to teach your dog basic obedience commands, the tone or vibration stimulation may be all that is needed.

  • No-look transmitter for easy operation

The transmitter is designed for easy operation, so you can focus on training your dog and not on fumbling with buttons. The no-look design means you can keep your eyes on your dog at all times, which is essential for effective training. The large buttons are easy to press, even when you’re wearing gloves, and the ergonomic design fits comfortably in your hand.

Customer’s Experience Using The SportDog YardTrainer

I adopted my dog from a shelter almost 2 years ago. He had been living in a backyard and never received any training. When I got him, he was full of bad habits. Biting, jumping up, pawing at me and in general, not listening. I have had Labradors for over 10 years. I had different techniques that I would use to train my dogs, but none of them worked on this guy. He was so aggressive that he put me in the Urgent Care twice within the first six months. He’s not only aggressive towards other dogs, but also people and fences. If I didn’t socialize him early on, then it became a real problem. Car rides were absolutely terrible experiences – screaming all the way; I couldn’t take him anywhere without putting myself or someone else at risk of getting injured again. My neighbour had an e-collar for her dog to stop him from being fence aggressive. I borrowed it to try on my own dog, and it worked great! It got his attention and encouraged him to listen to me. I noticed they have a “Stubborn Dog” version of the collar, so I chose that one. I have had the collar for about 4 weeks now. The difference in quality of life for both of us, is immeasurable! The collar has 3 features. Besides the vibration feature, there is a tone, that beeps on his collar. He already knows the tone means come, and he does. There is also I static that just buzzes which we are using to train him to “pay attention” to me. The collar charges quickly and is waterproof, so I had no problems at the river. This collar is a life changer!

Conclusion

Overall, the YardTrainer is an easy-to-use and versatile e-collar that is perfect for training dogs of all temperaments. It is important to care for your YardTrainer properly to ensure that it lasts for years to come. The YardTrainer is a great choice for those who are looking for an effective and affordable way to train their dog.
