How Does Garmin Delta Work?

Garmin Delta XC Sport

Now that you have your Delta set up and ready to go, it’s time to start training your dog. The first step is to choose the appropriate correction level for your dog. We recommend starting at a lower level and gradually increasing it as needed. Once you have selected the correct correction level, it’s time to start training your dog. The Delta offers three basic correction configurations: momentary, continuous, and vibration. Each configuration is designed to address different behavioral issues, so be sure to select the one that best suits your needs.

For example, if you are trying to stop your dog from barking, you would use the momentary correction configuration. To do this, simply press and hold the button on the Delta XC Sport until your dog stops barking. Once your dog is quiet, release the button and praise your dog for good behavior.

If you are trying to stop your dog from jumping on guests, you would use the continuous correction configuration. To do this, press and hold the button on the Delta until your dog stops jumping. Once your dog is seated, release the button and praise your dog for good behavior.

And finally, if you are trying to stop your dog from digging in the yard, you would use the vibration correction configuration. To do this, press and hold the button on the Delta until your dog stops digging. Once your dog is seated, release the button and praise your dog for good behavior.

No matter which correction configuration you choose, the key to success is to be consistent with your commands and praise your dog for good behavior. With a little patience and practice, you’ll be amazed at how quickly your dog will learn to respond to the Delta.

Verified Users’ Feedback

Garmin Delta XC Sport

We taught our dog a sequence of events that happen when he was barking using positive reinforcement. If the dog doesn’t respond to the first audible command, we follow up with a vibration. And lastly, if he’s in a “frenzy” of barking, we use light static shock therapy which has effectively stopped his incessant barking overall. We’re glad we made this purchase and believe you would be too!

Garmin Delta XC

This collar is amazing. We got this for our dog because she was having trouble listening to us, and it has really made a difference. There are different settings you can choose from along with 18 shock levels, so you can find the right level for your dog. We like the tone, vibration and shock setting best – the tone tells my dog to stop and come here, while the vibration says last warning and then the shock says you screwed up. To be completely honest we have only shocked her maybe three times – usually once she hears the beep she calms down pretty quickly.

Conclusion: Should you buy a Garmin Delta Dog Tracker?

If you’re looking for an effective and affordable way to train your dog, the Delta is a great option. It’s easy to use, gentle, and really works! We would highly recommend it to any dog owner who is struggling to get their dog to behave. The DELTA XC is a great choice for people who don’t need a bark collar. It has plenty of stimulation levels and works really well for dog training.

Recently an updated dog training system was added to Garmin Delta family. Compact, ergonomic, easy to operate and effective – all this is Garmin Delta SE.
