15 Things Your Pet Does That Actually Mean ‘I Love You’

We often say that pets are family. But how often do we stop to wonder how they express their love to us? While they can’t say the words, our furry friends have countless ways of showing just how much they care. Here are 15 sweet, surprising, and sometimes hilarious ways your cat or dog might be saying, “I love you.”

1. They Follow You Around the House

Whether it’s the kitchen, bathroom, or your cozy reading nook, if your pet is your little shadow, it’s a clear sign they feel safe and attached to you.

2. Slow Blinks (From Cats)

When a cat looks at you and slowly closes and opens their eyes, that’s the feline equivalent of a warm hug. Try blinking back slowly — it’s a little love conversation!

3. Tail Wags (The Right Kind)
